I just tried playing from the app, R40.1, and it lets me proceed north. It appears the apk and the swf handle this differently?

Looks like the new engine fixes this. I tested the attached savefile on new engine and wasn't able to reproduce it. I suspect this is in the category of issues that got fixed during the engine switch. If you're able to repro it on new builds, please let me know :)
